World's Largest Building pictures

The world’s largest building “New Century Global Center” has opened in southwestern city of Chengdu, China in June 2013.

Chengdu's New Century Global Center, will be the world's largest freestanding building.  The complex, which Chinese officials say is the world's largest standalone structure, is 500 meters long by 400 meters wide, offering 1.7 million square meters of floor space.  

Also  the building is "capable of housing 20 Sydney Opera houses and almost three times the size of the Pentagon in Washington, DC."

The Global Center has an ocean theme and will house a 5,000 square-meter artificial beach with a seafront promenade and artificial sun. It will also be home to offices, theaters  hotels, shopping malls and even a fake Mediterranean village.
