Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has been awarded one
of Portugal's highest honours by the country's president.
Cristiano Ronaldo, age 28, will receive the medal and
ribbon on 7 January 2014, officially making him the Order of Prince Henry.
"He is a worldwide symbol of Portugal, making the
country better known internationally and an example of perseverance for younger
generations" according to the presidential statement.
Ronaldo will lead the Portuguese bid for it first
international trophy in the World Cup 2014. Cristiano Ronaldo, is a football
player and plays for Real Madrid in Spain.
