The Sri Lankan former cricket captain, batsman Kumar
Sangakkara today submitted his resignation from International T20 Cricket, Sri
Lanka Cricket (SLC) said.
In a letter to the Chairman of Selectors, Mr. Sangakkara
said, "It is the right time to retire allowing SLC an opportunity to build
a new team for the next World T20 and as it will also allow him to focus on
Test and ODI cricket during the coming months."
