Melani Hewawasam has been crowned the Miss Sri Lanka 2014
in Europe. The pageant has been organized by France Sri Lanka Welfare
Association for the first time.
It is significant that Melani was previously crowned as
Miss Sri Lanka in France organized by Negombo Paris Organization last year. Also
Melani Hewawasam who was crowned the beauty queen of France as well as Europe
is a student of Business Management.
Twenty-one Contestants from eight European countries
including France, Germany, England, Italy, Norway and Switzerland took part in
the pageant.
Miss Sri Lanka, actor Suraj Mapa, parliamentarian and
actress Upeksha Swarnamali and singer Dumal Warnakulasuriya had honored the
event as chief guests.
