The Guinness World Record’s
record for the most expensive perfume is the Clive Christian No.1 for Men or
No.1 for Women - 30 ml (1 fl oz) of which typically costs £1,317 (then $2,355).
To mark the opening of the Salon de Parfum boutique at
the London department store, the British perfumer Clive Christian has created a
special edition of his No1 perfume with an eye watering price tag of £143,000
(or over $228,000 USD); called the No1 Passant Guardant, it uses the perfume
house's signature crystal bottle and then ups the ante by covering it in
hand-crafted, 24 carat gold and encrusted in diamonds, setting the new world
record for the Most Expensive Perfume, according to the World Record Academy. The
record is already listed in the Guinness World Record 2015.
