Dubai set another record for World's largest cricket bat
It is another feather in Dubai’s cap as OSN celebrated
the start of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 with a Guinness World Record
attempt. The 32m long and 4m wide cricket bat, created by the leading pay
TVnetwork for in a bid to clinch the Guinness World Record for the largest
cricket bat, was displayed on 26/01/2015 Monday at the ICC Academy in Dubai.

As tall as an eight to 10-storey building, the ‘largest
cricket bat’ weighs a mammoth 950kg and is nearly 32 times longer than a
standard cricket bat. Placed horizontally, the bat’s length is equivalent to
the distance of seven cars parked bumper to bumper. In sheer proportion, it
would take a player about 52.8 metres tall to wield the bat.
OSN are also backing the World Cup-bound UAE team thus
the bat unveiling was also marked as a tribute to the UAE team for their second
