Air India Express cancelled Nearly 20 flights on UAE-India sector

Indian carrier Air India Express cancelled nearly 20 flights on UAE-India sector on day two of the mass sick leave crisis that hit the budget airline. In its latest statement on 09-05-2024, the airline said it would be operating 283 flights on Thursday while 85 stood cancelled.

Travel agents in the UAE said most of the affected passengers preferred to reschedule their cancelled flights.

Air India Express cancelled at least 85 flights as a section of cabin crew was fired, a day after nearly 300 employees of the airline called in sick and switched off their phones.

Flights that were cancelled were on various domestic and international routes. Scores of flights were also delayed on key routes.
