A mother has been jailed for at least 14 years after she
killed her 11 months old son by beating him so badly he suffered horrific brain
damage.
Emma Wilson-25, repeatedly hit baby boy - Callum so
violently her neighbor’s ceiling shook. Emma Wilson had denied murder then
blamed the attack on his two years old brother the Old Bailey heard, saying he
was jealous of his brother.
The abuse culminated in a violent attack on 17 March 2011,
after which Callum was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, UK where he
died from 'unsurvivable' brain damage three days later on March 20, 2011.
The court heard that the boy Callum suffered a catalogue of abuse at the hands of his mother in the weeks before his death, during which she took 'before' and 'after' photographs of herself with him.
According to the Jidge Stephen Wilson was jailed for life
today and she must serve a minimum of 14 years in prison. The Boy Callum was
vulnerable and his mother must have been the person who caused him the injuries
which in the last 10 to 14 days of his life made him so miserable which the
court saw in photographs, that for some reason you took.'
