Sheikh Zayed Tunnel Abu Dhabi

The Sheikh Zayed tunnel in Abu Dhabi is the longest tunnel in Middle East. The tunnel was opened for motorist on 05/12/2012. 

The tunnel is 4.2km long and it has four lanes each in both the outbound and inbound directions. Also the tunnel is equipped with advanced traffic control systems, fire control systems, as well as two control rooms.
